Federal Championships for Haflinger Horses in Carinthia |
The Carinthian Federal Show-Jumping Championships for Haflinger horses in Maria Rain saw good results for the blonde horses. From the 6th to the 7th of August, one of them could even take home a Champion’s title in each division. Four riders were on the start line in both partial tests of the ‘A’ category in the youth’s age group. In both competitions, 13 year old mare Hanni 6 (by Nordenwind; breeder: Markus Remer from Tauern) came out on top and therefore won the champion’s title with 130.163 points. Second place was secured by Sophia Graf and nine year old Iolanda 3 (by Sterntaler-W; breeder: Josef Lach from Pudab) with a total of 126.186 points. In the Small Tour of the ‘L’ category, four Haflinger horses and their riders competed. The win of both partial tests went to Sonja Petscharnig who had saddled up only just six year old gelding Angelo Golden Dancer (by Antinor; breeder: Karl Findenig from St Georgen) with more than 66% each time. This resulted in a total of 133.65 points and of course the Federal Champion’s title. Trailing closely behind were Ines Kriegl and 13 year old Mary 21 (by Bergspitz; breeder: Karl Ortner from Velden) who massively improved in the second partial competition and therefore reaped a final result of 124.117 points. In the ‘LM’ Big Tour only one horse-rider duo was enrolled but even without competitors they knew how to impress with their performance. Philine Wassermann on top nine year old stallion Apacki Aragon (by Aaron C; breeder: Richard Huber-Rieder from Schleedorf) are very experienced by now and were awarded with 67.121% and 68.824%. This enabled them to take the well-deserved champion’s title with the highest score of 135.945%. In the show-jumping division, the youth had to overcome one circuit over 80 cm and one over 85 cm. Two horse-rider duos managed this flawlessly and so had to perform in a jump-off to determine the Federal Champion. Jasmin Pansy and seven year old Ghana 5 (by Avantgarde) were the winners with a clear round in 28.98 seconds, whereas Anna Maria Joebstl and 17 year old Heidi 7 (by Majus; breeder: Markus Remer from Tauern) took two and a half seconds longer. In the General Class, the winning duo once again was made of Sonja Petscharnig and Angelo Golden Dancer. The first show-jumping competition over 90 cm was managed immaculately but with a quarter of a penalty point for exceeding the time limit. In the second competition, this time over one meter, they were the only ones to keep a blank sheet and therefore took home the title with only 0.25 points. Runners-up were Christina Praxl and eleven year old gelding Wax (by Waldess; breeder: Markus Remer from Tauern) who had taken the win in the first partial test with a clear round. In the second round they had come in at 50.27 seconds with four penalties. |
